Dear Devotees, 

Thank you for your overwhelming support of our SVVS temple since its original consecration in 1994.  We are on the threshold of celebrating the consecration of our new, beautifully renovated, larger temple on May 30th, 2021. This auspicious occasion will begin on May 28th morning and end on May 30th evening, with various poojas, as specified in our  Schedule of Events. 

The Indian community in New Orleans has been eagerly awaiting this auspicious occasion. We deeply appreciate all the physical, administrative, creative and financial help of all our devotees in the completion of this inspiring project. We take this occasion to acknowledge all the contributions of the entire Indian community. Each and every devotee has helped in this project and we are surely blessed and truly grateful for their support.

The deities to be installed are Annavaram style Lord Sri Satyanarayana Swami, Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swami, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh and Lord Subramanya Swami, Lord Hanuman, and the Navagrahas. We request and encourage all our devotees to participate in this grand event with their presence and generosity to make our honorable priest, Thanga Bhattar Mama’s longtime dream come true.

We all now have a renewed opportunity to contribute generously towards the construction and upkeep of our temple. Sponsorship opportunites are available for various events during the entire period of  consecration and installation. 

Checks are payable to SVVS Temple and may be mailed to the temple address, or dropped in the temple Hundi, or you may donate by PayPal on the temple website.
