Sponsorships

Sponsorships are devotional offerings that allow poojas to be performed on your behalf throughout the year. Your presence is not required. Prasadam is mailed monthly where applicable. All sponsorships are tax-deductible donations.

Important Note: When purchasing any of the items below, we ask that you provide your names, nakshatras, and gothras in the comments section of the checkout form to provide to the priest.

Satyanarayana Vratam Pooja $351
The Satyanarayana Vratam is a votive pooja to Lord Satyanarayana, a form of Vishnu and the presiding deity of SVVS Temple, performed for family wellbeing, fulfillment of prayers, and gratitude.

Sankataharachaturthi — Abhishegam and Archana $501
Sankataharachaturthi falls on the fourth day after the full moon each month and is observed with special abhishegam and archana to Lord Ganesha, invoked as the remover of obstacles (Sankata-hara).

Pradosham —
Abhishegam and Archana

Pradosham falls on the 13th lunar day (Trayodashi) of each fortnight — twice a month. It is one of the most auspicious times for Shiva worship. According to tradition, Lord Shiva performs the Tandava in the presence of all deities during this window.

Sashti —
Abhishegam and Archana

Sashti is the sixth day of each lunar fortnight, dedicated to Lord Murugan (Subramanya). The monthly observance, known as Skanda Sashti, includes abhishegam and archana at the Sri Valli Subramanyar sanctum.

Ayyappa Pooja $501
Lord Ayyappa, the son of Shiva and Mohini, is especially venerated in the Kerala tradition. The monthly Ayyappa pooja follows Kerala Tantric practice and is observed at the Sri Ayyapan sanctum.

Monthly Abhishegam $501
Abhishegam is the ritual bathing of the deity with sacred substances — milk, yogurt, honey, rosewater, sandalwood paste — each offered with specific mantras from the Agamas. Sanctum of your choice.

Nithya Karma Pooja—
Monthly, Weekly, or Daily
Varied
Nithya Karma Pooja refers to the daily ritual worship (nitya = daily; karma = rite) performed by the priests at each sanctum. 

Monthly Poojas: $201 — 12 poojas per year, one per month at your chosen sanctum, in your name or on behalf of your family.

Weekly Poojas: $501 — 52 poojas per year, weekly dedication at your chosen sanctum. 

Daily Poojas: $2,001 — 365 poojas per year, performed in your name or on behalf of your family every day at your chosen sanctum. Includes Nithya Archana, Pradosham, Sashti, and Satyanarayana Vratam observances within the annual calendar.

Sponsorship of a specific festival supports the temple's celebrations of that festival as listed on the date below.

New Year's 2027 Special Sahasranama Archana  $51
Sahasranama means "thousand names." This archana recites all thousand names of the presiding deity, offered collectively to welcome the new year with divine blessing. Your name is offered as part of the collective prayer.

Maha Shivrathri, the "Great Night of Shiva," is observed through four successive abhishegam and pooja sessions (kaalams) through the night. Maha Shivratri 2027 falls on Saturday, March 6, 2027 with worship continuing into early Sunday, March 7.

Rama Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama on the ninth day (navami) of Chaitra month. The ceremony includes ritual bathing of the deity (abhishegam) and recitation of sacred names (archana). Sponsorship-based event. Includes: Special Pooja, Abhishegam and Archana

Navarathri ("nine nights") honors the Divine Mother across three triads of evenings dedicated to Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswathi. You may sponsor a single day, the full nine nights, or just the Durga Homam (sacred fire ritual).
Lakshmi Kubera Pooja — November 8, 2026 $101
On Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi (abundance) and Kubera (lord of the treasury) are worshipped together in a traditional South Indian observance for prosperity. The temple pooja is offered collectively on behalf of all sponsors.

Karthika is the most sacred month for Lord Shiva. Each Monday (Somavaram) of the month is observed with special abhishegam and lamp lighting. You may sponsor one Monday or all four.

The temple's annual anniversary marks the consecration (Kumbabhishekam) of the sanctums. Your sponsorship contributes to the full day's celebrations, poojas, and community gathering.

Includes all Nithya Karma poojas, festivals, and events throughout the calendar year, and recognition during the Temple Anniversary celebration. 


Note: Periodic festivals that occur once in every 3-5 years such as Kumbhabhishegams and Inaugurations are not included in the above annual sponsorships.

E-Hundi / General

The E-Hundi allows devotees to make offerings digitally from anywhere in the world — a contemporary form of the traditional dana (gift) to the temple.
